This notebook was prepared by Economist Mr. Ronald Sánchez Castro, Technical Secretary of Uniapravi and Economist Mr. Julio Saldaña Narro, Advisor to the Technical Area of ​​Uniapravi; and briefly describes the housing deficit, its main components and the methodology for calculating the housing deficit applied in Latin American and Caribbean countries: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Dominican Republic, Uruguay and Venezuela, based on official information from the Population, Housing and Household Censuses published by national information and statistics agencies.
