UNIAPRAVI presents Notebook No. 281, October - December 2024: "Housing credit portfolio in Latin American and Caribbean countries". The document describes and updates some figures on housing financing in Latin American and Caribbean countries: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Dominican Republic, Uruguay and Venezuela, with available data published by central banks, superintendencies or authorities of the financial system of each country, describes the balance of the housing credit portfolio granted by various banking, financial and non-financial entities, savings and loan mutuals, cooperatives, among others, as well as the participation of this portfolio with respect to GDP, the quality of the housing credit portfolio and average interest rates for granting housing loans, according to information available in each of the countries analyzed.
